Litzlalm: 5-6 hours, 500 m ascent, 500 m descent
We hike from Hintersee through the initially gently ascending Klausbach valley. Centuries ago, salt was transported here from Berchtesgaden to Pinzgau with pack animals. The trail leads across pastures and mixed forest to a suspension bridge (approx. 1 hour). The path then becomes steeper and we reach the Bind-Alm, an alpine chalet classified as listed building. There we take our first break with a beautiful view of the mountains. We continue via the Hirschbichl border crossing into Austria.
From Hirschbichl we walk a short distance on the road and then turn off onto a steep path to the Litzlalm, another alpine chalet (approx. 1 hour). There we take another break. If you like you can also climb the Litzl-Kogl (additional 1 hour and 300 meters of altitude). We can either take the same route back to Hirschbichl via the path, or take the road. From Hirschbichl we take the bus back to Hintersee or we walk down to Hintersee, 300 m descent, 2 hours
